On 13 June the Tipping Point opened their new space. after years of project development and construction.
So it was so special to welcome their first official customers.
Tipping Point’s first customer
“We opened the doors at Tipping Point, and it was so special to welcome our very first official customers — Catherine and Antonio, who won our opening competition!”
The Tipping Point is a project of MPHS Community Trust. They are passionate about a Zero Waste Lifestyle.
The new Tipping Point space is at Gate B, 50 The Concourse, Henderson. It has its own entrance next just beyond the transfer station entrance.
There is a dedicated fun area just for tamariki with a play zone and stacks of toys.
There is a C&D Hub where large, reusable construction and demolition materials get a new lease on life. From timber and tiles to sinks, gym gear, tools, and bikes — the C&D Hub is packed with useful items salvaged from building and demolition sites. Too big for the main shop but too good to waste, everything supports the zero waste kaupapa and helps the community access quality materials at affordable prices.
Huge congratulations to Darryl Jellyman and his whole team! What a fantastic zero waste space that will undoubtedly become beloved by the whole city.
